Do you ever get annoyed because searching for a document in /designer downloads it, when all you wanted was to see the folder it was in?
Starting in Appian 7.9, clicking on a document in Appian Designer doesn't download it. We know that a designer is more likely to need to do work on the document, rather than just download the file. Instead of downloading, clicking on the document takes you to its containing folder. From there you can view its properties, upload a new version, see what other documents it's stored with, and any other modifications you need to make.

I guess this won't be replicated in /designer - so the behaviour described in the first paragraph will remain the same?

That's correct, Phil. Our development efforts for designers are focused on the newer design interfaces, and we continue to retire /designer interfaces as we move more functionality into Appian Designer.
