I'm having some trouble getting FitNesse going
I've gotten past a couple hurdles but getting message
"Could not complete testing: fitnesse.slim.SlimError: Error SLiM server died before a connection could be established. Error: Could not find or load main class fitnesse.slim.SlimService"
I'm unclear if i need to edit the fitness.properties file and if i should have put something in TEST_SYSTEM
login_test.txt

I had a similar issue...I restarted the application (start.bat) and it worked fine.

@Joe You do not have to edit anything in the fitnesse.properties file. Have you tried restarting the application as Bryant suggested.
I would also recommend that you change the appian url to APPIAN_URL/suite/tempo as we only support testing within tempo. Replace APPIAN_URL with your specific url.

Thanks Restarting did resolve that issue. I was trying /designer because we have single sign on and my /tempo never has a login screen. How should i handle that step given that we don't key in a username password? I can get it to work now but it throws exceptions on the login step, if i take out the login step then it doesn't work.

I'm getting a permissions pop up each time is there any advice on what permission i need to request so this doesn't happen? I don't have admin rights on my work PC but they may grant specific permissions for this type of testing.

Can you create a test user that does not use the SSO?
