What version of MySQL comes with Appian for cloud customers? We currently have Appian 16.1 but will soon be upgraded to 16.2. I noticed in the release notes for 16.2 that MySQL 5.6 is deprecated. How can I tell which version of MySQL we are using?

You can run SELECT version(); against the cloud database to check the version.

Got it! Thanks. It says we're on 5.6.30. Does that be upgraded to 5.7 when 16.2 gets deployed?

Interesting - ours is 5.6.29! I doubt there's a blanket upgrade of MySQL - probably worth checking with support.

We will - I asked because the Release notes for 16.2 says the following:
MySQL 5.6 is still supported in this release but will be removed in a future release. Consider upgrading to MySQL 5.7.

Yep - I used 5.7 in my latest local build. I'd assume they will eventually upgrade the cloud instances but I suspect it's not a small undertaking! :)

You can run the SHOW VARIABLES LIKE "%version%" command in the cloud database to check additional version details.
