Dear all,
in my process I need that a task owner can select a group member. I see that the error is in the group security settings because the type is "Restricted". So I change the type and now it works.
BUT there is other way? Is it the right way? Why the defaul settings in Appian group type is "Restricted" and not Public?

This is the way to do it. Setting up a good group structure and have all the security settings right can be quite complex. My rule of thumb is to have technial groups more closed down and functional or organizational groups more open.

The default settings help you to not leak information by accident.
