#webAPI#queryProcessAnalytics
I got a requirement to return a taskId (tp!id) in a process model for a webAPI(use startProcess()) call. I use Process task report and queryProcessAnalytics to get the task id of a process and use repression rule to filter the task id's using process instance id,(please see attached below), but the execution time of response of web API is faster than process model execution until it hits the input task node. when the instant id is passed to an expression rule, it returns a null tp!id sometimes. (it returns task id when Process model processing time than webapi response). How can I handle this issue so that i will always get a task id?
Thank you.

I suggest to split up the API calls. One call to start the process and return the ID and another call to get the task IDs. The second call can then return the task ID or if the task is not available yet some information about process status. This way you do not have to rely on some timing and on hope that it will work.
