Map a datastore entity to an existing database table

Question

How do i create a datastore entity that is based on a database table that already exists and contains data. Do I have to create a CDT that has the same datatypes as the table, or is there an easier way to do it?

One of the options to create/update a CDT is to import it's definition from an XSD file which contains datatype and database-mapping information. To have your CDT properly mapped to an existing table, this XSD should contain table and column mappings using JPA annotations. @pieterk, Yes Pieterk..if you want to create the data store entity for particular data store you have to create the cdt that has the same name and datatypes in that table in DB or else its creates the new table. There is no easier way to map table to data store Thanks Bhanu.
