Custom unauthorized message

HI,
We have implemented SSO mechanism with our Appian application and although when user gets authenticated in SSO, if he does not have proper roles then we want to display unauthorized message that is meaningful. Right now we have 401- Unauthorized message that apian is displaying. Is there a way to alter and provide a more meaningful message? Is it recommended to update JSP page?
