Activity Chaining Issue

The activity chain is likely timing out. You have several options.
1. Activity chain to a new ui which will describe that the excel processing will happen asynchronously, and direct the users to their tasks. This will force the user to use two tasks, but it will at least be handled gracefully.
2. Activity chain to a new ui which will display a timer image and gives the user the option to refresh the ui until the asynchronous excel processing is complete in the back end. This will then allow you to continue using the same task.

I agree with Ashvin that time-out is the likely culprit here. Before implementing any work-arounds, performance should be investigated and improved. Parsing 8 rows should not take long. A few questions:

How long does the node take to complete?
Which plugin / smart service are you using?
How many columns are included in the Excel import?

Hi Jamie, It was read excel plugin, It has 82 columns. I found that, I'm doing looping in one part in the process, due to looping (for 9 rows it is looping 9 times), the activity chaining is breaking and that seems to be the issue.

Hi baghavathis, even I had faced the same issue earlier, you can replace all activity chaining nodes with expression and rules.Hope this will be helpful.
