Appian Document Picker

~~~Issue with Document Picker~~~
I have noticed an issue with the Appian a!pickerFieldDocuments SAIL Component it seems to ignore certain documents in folders. I have ran multiple tests and there is no consistency on Versions, creator for file types to insinuate whats is causing the picker to ignore the files. Has anyone else seen this behaviour before and could shed some light on it for me? I have check security on all folders and this is not whats is causing the issue. Also to follow up does any one know of another way to select a document in an Appian folder? i.e. get contents and put them into a drop down or grid so they can be selected.
Dont worry Guys I cracked it, I used the tointeger(getdocumentsfromfolder(tofolder(ri!folderid),false))
to get the folder contents the used an expression rule to get the name of the documents from the ID's.
Could it be that some folders have "Searchable" property set to false? That's a property you can set when creating a new folder.
tried that no consistency either, folders with searchable set to NO you could found files, others which where also set to NO you could not find files. I think this one needs to go back to Development for redesign / evaluation.
Sometimes documents that are moved from one folder to another retain their original security settings and don't inherit the security of their new parent. Could this be what's resulting in the missing documents in your case?
