Is there a way to do unit testing in Appian ?

Yes, there is uniting testing for the different application components. Here are some examples. Expression rules allow you to create and save test cases:

. Unit testing for processes is called debugging.
forum.appian.com/.../Testing_Process_Models.html
To test an interface, use the Live view of the interface designer or click the "test" button in the top right hand corner and load with test values.

There is also automated testing using FitNesse for Appian.
