Favicon not displaying in IE for Sites

I have configured favicon for sites in 16.2. and displaying correctly in Chrome,but in IE configured icon is not coming instead displaying default IE icon i.e. 'e'

I encountered this before, but clearing my cache, closing all browsers, and accessing again worked. Did you by chance, try that?
