Support Oracle CLOB/NCLOB

I need to store long (>4000) text in an Oracle DB. My problem is that there is no supported datatype available. The datatype LONG which is supported by Appian is deprecated by Oracel. The type CLOB/NCLOB is recommended by Oracle, but not supported by Appian.
I read related discussions here and do not want to create/use a plugin.
Any ideas anyone?

Sure. But why does Appian not support this directly? Would make things so much easier.

Hi,
I can understand your reluctance to use a plugin, but the Stored procedure plugin supports the CLOB datatype and is actively being worked on to support BLOB as well. This is a well used plugin - even recommended by Appian. We hit this plugin many 10's of thousands of times a day without issue.

Hi Mike,

Can you please tell me the plugin name you are using for handling clob and blob structure in Appian . i am facing similar issue as Stefan. where i am unable to fetch CLOB structure in Appian
