Changing the default language of an application
jarrods229

Hi - what is the quickest way to change the language of an application. We run EN_GB (English) as our default language however a lot of shared tempo applications (Such as user and role management) are only configured for EN_US - so the process models are all screwed up.
Is there a quick way to change the whole characterset to be consistent with our primary EN_GB?

That doesnt really help - I'm comfortable with our environment settings - its just that the appian supplied Tempo application s(such as user and group management) don't work if EN_US is not your primary language (which for the rest of the world it is not!)

Please review
forum.appian.com/.../kb-1193.html
and let us know if that is the same issue you are seeing? If so, you can resolve it by updating process models

Also, there is a shared component to make the renaming easier - see

I had a similar problem a while back when importing an application and I have a feeling another option was to enable the EN_US language alongside UK English (or just "English" as we like to call it here) ;)

Yes, you can enable more than one variant of English, although note: if the imported Application doesn't contain the translation for the other languages, you can see the issue described in the KB article for some users - unless a language preference is enforced site wide.
