Log Monitoring for Alerts

Is there any Regular expression Appian follows to write logs on Application server (path APPIAN_HOME>/log/*.log) ? I would like to write a script to read these logs and give alert if ERROR occurs on Nagios. Also let me know if there are any plugins available which can trigger alert if error occurs.

Depending on your requirement you may be able to take advantage of the Log Reader plugin for this:
