Could you please let me know how to use the regular expressions to validate the strings in Appian pages.

@vahedullas Validations are of many type let's say length validation, null check validation etc.. what validation are you trying to achieve.
And let's say you have an Expression rule named as Test() having a rule input of type text and holding validations, so we can can this rule under Interface under validations as
rule!Test(
)

Hi @vahedullas,
FitNesse documentation says "You can match regular expressions by using the syntax =~/regex/. The regular expression syntax is the Java standard."
More details here, in case you haven't already visited this page -
www.fitnesse.org/FitNesse.UserGuide.WritingAcceptanceTests.SliM.ValueComparisons
Thanks

@vahedullas As per your requirement You can install a plugin named as Appian Regular Expression Functions, at following URL
https://forum.appian.com/suite/tempo/records/item/lMBCLGOdlMUpdGVqW3dQaIKmclBmvvNEj8vu_cjb7T-5YiPr4Fu8ly5Yj1s09uenE4RYzA8zKyx7eiUhemjLnMWmh9flkoBj4U4HmAkkPRpCPt5Lw/view/summary
this defines several functions such as
RegexIsMatch
RegexFirstMatch
RegexAllMatches
RegexReplaceAll
You can push any one of these function, into an Expression rule and can invoke the rule in an Interface
Hope this will help you

Hi Shaik,
You can use regexmatch(pattern, searchString), or tell me the exact scenario where you are trying to validate ?

@aloks: Sorry I didn't mean that you are wrong, I know the environment that he is working so I've suggested that method directly.
