Process XML data into database

I have few XML files located in remote folder. I need to parse XML file and store the XML content into database.
Can someone please help me here?

Once you get the file (using one of the out of the box smart service or shared component), you can convert it to a CDT using torecord function. Once you have the CDT, you can write it to database using "Write to Datastore" smart service.

May I know which Smart service / Shared Component to be used to get the file from the Remote folder's?.

1. If your files are available on FTP server you can use: 'Receive File Over SFTP' service.
2. If your files are accessible through HTTP URL you can use 'HTTP File Download' smart service.
3. If it is once off process you can directly download the file from designer view.
