Hi Jay,
The Appian software on its own doesn't employ encryption technology that would be subject to FIPS compliance. It's possible that if you are accessing Appian's web server using HTTPS, then the SSL would be subject to FIPS, but that is at the transmission protocol layer provided by the web server and not handled by Appian.
