Datetime Filed issue in Appian 17.1

We have recently upgraded our application to Appian 17.1 and found the issue in the a!dateTimeField sail component.
If the user edits the datetime value, then the field does not clear the incorrect format values as well as did not throw any
error message as "The value provided is not a valid date. Valid format is dd/MM/yyyy." in 17.1.The same field works in 7.11
Example: "09/02/2017testtest 00.00 testtesttest" - Does not clear the "testtestest" value.
"09/02/2017"--changed to "testtest" --Does not throw any error message like "The value provided is not a valid date. Valid format is dd/MM/yyyy."
Please find the attached screenshot.
Thanks!

Try in a different browser. Even I was facing the issue in chrome but when I switched to IE, it worked as expected. Hope this helps.

@balajib490 I think you might have used skipValidation as true for the buttonWidget
