Is Appian a recommended tool for a user base of 1 million?

If we have to create 1 million user accounts in Appian, what problems should we expect? Is Appian even recommended for such a large user base? (leaving out licensing issues)

I've not heard of anyone having used that many users (or even close) - are you intending creating a lot of Appian groups for these users to control security ? If so you may well end up with performance issues - depending on exactly how your group/security model is going to be implemented and how many groups users will be created in

That would be interesting to see. Performance would also depend on how active the users are. A million users using the system once a month is different than a million users using the system every day.

Talk to Appian about this. They serve US Army with 2 mill users AFAIK.
