In the Enterprise Architecture Overview (docs.appian.com/.../Enterprise_Architecture_Overview.html) for 17.3 it says: "Shared storage (Windows or NFS) is required when running a distributed environment with multiple application servers or multiple engine gateways on different servers."
Does this mean that the shared storage has to be either Windows or NFS only?
To me it seems like the shared storage is going to be handled by the operating system so it should not matter if it is Windows, NFS, GlusterFS or something else.
We have a client who wants to move away from NFS for their Appian installation, so I just wanted to be sure before we say anything to the client.
