Expose an API for an external system to upload/download a document from Appian

We are considering using Appian to store content (documents) for other external applications.

Is there a way to create an API that can be called by an external system to save/uplaod a new document into Appian and an API that can be called to retrieve/download a document from Appian?

There are Appian Public APIs available that can extract documents from KC. You can code using these APIs to write your own restful services as Appian's default APIs won't help here. You may want to get it cloud approved for your customers.

Hi Brandon,

If you're using Appian version 18.2 then you can use one of the default templates to create a basic API that enables download of Documents from Appian.

Attached is a screenshot of this option?
