SOAP webservice timeout

Hi 
 is there any way to handle SOAP web service time out without breaking chaining ? so service call between 2 user input task don't break the chaining and show time out error to user.

AFAIK, once you configure exceptional timer to handle the time out scenario for soap web service, the activity chaining will be break. 
There is no way to handle this. the task will be landed to Tasks tab.
