Unable to access created API through postman

Hi,

I have created a basic API that queries a record in appian

following the tutorial here

https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/18.4/Web_API_Tutorial.html

When I test it out in Appian it is retrieving right results with formatted JSON body.

When I access API end point externally via postman and basic authentication , then I get this

Could not get any response

There was an error connecting to XXXXXXX/query-vehicles.

Am I missing something here?

Do you get a specific HTTP error code?

Does the account you are using for authentication have access to that WebAPI? I'd first double check that your test user is in the security rolemap.

Otherwise, is there anything in jboss/tomcat logs?

There is no specific error code as such. the test user I have been using has admin rights on the WebAPI.

are you setup to authenticate preemptively?
