Any information on how to connect a pager to an appian is useful.

Can you elaborate on your use case? AFAIK pager infrastructure typically has web APIs you could call from Appian.
"Pager", as in the thing people had in the 90s? AFAIK they have some compatibility with traditional SMS, which i believe there might be plug-ins for (like maybe Twilio or Nexmo?)
I think it is more about alerting infrastructure for hospitals or factories.
Do these use something other than SMS? I'm only vaguely familiar with the technology and/or the direction it's migrated in modern use cases.
Oh yeah ... there is way more going on. Think of a dead man's switch for maintenance engineers.
Yes for alerting we need to setup Pager Duty with our Appian Application so we can get alerted when issues occur. and it should create incidents in service now.
As I said, Appian has incoming and outgoing web APIs, like the other components provide as well. It might be an idea to use some messaging middleware to gain reliability. This would work with Appian as well.
But this really depends on the existing and/or planned infrastructure.
Thank you Stefan, I will take a look into pager API's.
