We want to connect APPIAN to a system that does not expose a mid tier of any kind. In order to not interfere with the business logic of that system we want to connect through entity backed records but strictly READONLY.
There are different security levels (record type level, data store level, default filters...).
How would you configure the security of the entity backed records at the different levels to prevent any WRITE operation?...

Creating views on the other system and building your CDTs around those views would be a good start.
