Enable/Disable Web API logging feature from the UI button

Can you share some details about the use case?

The external application can send the details to Appian via WEB API. While invoking WEB API, the Appian provides option to save the WEB API request/response in the logs by enabling the checkbox in the WEB API. The user with the administrator access can view the logs.

Now the use case is,

• For debugging purpose, the developer with the viewer access would like to access the WEB API request and response logs --> Is it possible?
• The developer could enable/disable the Web API request/response logging (check/uncheck from the below picture) via customized button in the user interface. It means when the user clicks the button in the UI, then it should enable/disable the WEB API request/response logging automatically without logging into the designer --> Is it possible?
• 

1) I think yes, developers have access to log files by default. And these logs are common.

2) No. This is a security sensitive feature and can only be toggled by the developer.

What do you try to achieve with this? For what purpose would a normal use would want to enable logging?
