I am trying to integrate SAIL form into a web page which is running on separate server (Tomcat). I am using Dynamic Embedding' sample HTML code from forum but nothing is happening on the click of 'embed this Task' button. Host name is also configured in admin-embedded interface.

First items to check would be
1) Authentication.. Does the browser have a session established with Appian?
2) Admin Console Config.. Have you registered the domain in the Embedded Interfaces configuration in the Appian Admin Console

From the posts, It is hard to debug exactly what the issue is. Many things could be impacting, such as, can the TomCat server reach the Appian server and URL of the JS file? Are the domains configured in the Admin console resolvable?
For the example I presented today, I used Google Drive to host my HTML file that pointed back to Appian.

Try loading the js file directly from the server if you have access to the server machine by entering the URL in a web browser. If you can eliminate the loading of js from the problem, then it might give you better options to figure out what is wrong.

@Malcolm: I am trying your approach in accessing the html from Google drive, but I am unable to see changes. Please find attached my simple html, and please tell me what CORS Allowed Origins you have used.

Note when you follow the directions, it will load balance you to another URL.. for example..
398337abe925305e4008a725805444941a32a949-www.googledrive.com/.../{YOUR
DOC ID}
So you will need to add to your CORS configuration in Appian the fully qualified domain name of that URL..
like
398337abe925305e4008a725805444941a32a949-www.googledrive.com

Also.. final note.. This feature has been deprecated by Google.. so you can only use this to test things out until August 2016.. when Google will fully remove file hosting from drive
