Is there a way to securely store web service credentials the same way we do for database data sources so we don't have to configure it all over our processes?
I've seen this (
forum.appian.com/.../Call_Web_Service_Smart_Service.html
but the username token does not seem supported in the WSDL we are using. Is the only other option to consume it with a plugin?

You should look into using the Secure Credentials Store functionality to store and provide credentials for the web service calls.

Appian also now supports client certificate authentication for web services.
