Is there a "best" or recommended version of Open Office for compatibil

Is there a "best" or recommended version of Open Office for compatibility with Appian 7.8 (Hotfix E)? Conversely, are there limits of compatibility with any particular version - either older or newer - of Open Office?

We're on 7.8 and have been using version 3.3 for a long time. We've not encountered any issues so haven't changed. 3.3 meets our technical needs and is very stable in our Linux environment.
