We have a process model that will be published as a web service. Is it possible for the web service credentials to be our internal SSO ID's? Our ID's are currently SAML enabled and would like the web service credentials to go through the same authentication.

This is currently not available. Models as web services are authenticated using the Appian credentials.
The reference number for the enhancement request to support Spring authentication in models as web services is AN-61026. You can review the release notes of future versions to confirm whether this feature is available.

You should try Synchronous Process Model Service component.

Instead of taking username/password within the SOAP request, by default, service consumers have to provide credentials via HTTP Basic Authentication. The servlet plug-in stay within protected zone of Appian, so you might be able to configure that URI to be protected by your SSO.
