# Web Service Hi, We have an issue with cdt created by webservice.

When you say blank, is it all blue, or is there still a top bar with the title of the CDT in the top left and gear (settings) menu in top right?

That means the CDT was not created properly. What version of Appian are you on?

we are using Appian 7.9...
When i execute the process the webservice giving response properly (Proper value in CDT). But i am having issue with that cdt when i open and while exporting the application.

while exporting the application i am getting below error message..

datatype 9042 {***}validateResponse: The data for datatype [id=9042 uuid={***/}validateResponse]could not be retrieved for export. Cause: java.lang.NullPointerException (APNX-1-4071-002).

One final question. The the CDT listed in the list of CDTs on the system (system tab)

Yes. It is there in listed CDTs in system tab

Shiva, Delete the existing CDT and try running the Web service again which creates new one.. may be this solves the issue..
