Has anyone been successful in connecting, specifically, an IBM iSeries AS/400 DB2 to Appian v7.x / JBoss 7.x???
We have established successful connection with Appian 6.x and JBoss 5.x, but have not been successful with the upgraded Appian and JBoss versions.

Hi Bill, Thanks for doing this.
I guess the main item would be the appian-ds.xml, and how you get this to work with libraries on the AS400. Were there any permission or anything that needed carrying out on the AS400? We already use the AS400 as a local-tx-datasource and can run queries etc. Out of interest do you use different libraries or just connect to a single one?

Hi Bill,
Out of interest how far did you get with 7.2. I have manage to get the datasource up and running so we can query the iSeries AS/400 using the query smart node but not as a datastore. Which is exactly where we are on 6.6.1.

Joel --
hmmm ... I'd say you're a step ahead of where we are. Maybe if you have a look at our appian-ds.xml you can see how that was setup for v6.6.1, and compare it to what you have for v7.2.
How can I get the file to you?

Easiest way is probably through a discussion on the forum because I have a suspicion that we won't be the only ones looking to resolve this with Jboss 7.1 obviously feel free to depersonalise it. Also were there were any tasks or specific permissions on the iSeries which you needed to do to allow the data store to work fully?
