Appian Community and Appian Academy are being upgraded. As a part of the upgrade, Appian Community is currently in read-only mode, and user registration is disabled until August 3. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but a more secure, stable, and performant Community experience is coming soon!

The new Appian Community launches August 3, followed by Appian Academy on August 7. During the migration, Appian Community Edition, Appian Academy, Documentation, Certifications, Instructor-led Customer Training, Partner Sales Training & Accreditation, and Forum (for Appian Partners and Customers only) will remain available.

Has anyone used OKTA with Appian?

Has anyone used OKTA with Appian? If so can you share how difficult it was to setup and any items that can be tricky?

Thank you!

  • hi helmuta, good to hear that it is working well for you. So do you have all your users being authenticated via Okta and have the redirection parameter checked so that anyone that tries to login via your Appian login page gets redirected to the Okta login? When a user gets a task notification and they click on the link, do they get redirected to the Okta login page and then when they login, does it take them to the task?
Also, are you able to give me an idea how Okta charges for its services? We have potentially 25000 users but only 10-15% would be logging in during a given month.
