Function to replicate calling a web service

Is there a function or an expression in Appian which replicates calling of a WebService using the Call WebService Node?...

There is a Expression function plug-in on forum called RunProcess Expression that allows you to execute a process as an expression. You can use this to invoke a process that contains the web service
