SalesForce is our CRM. We’ve encountered a problem where SalesForce and Appian cannot communicate because SalesForce does not support VPN and Appian does not have a static IP address that can be reliably added to our SalesForce whitelist. How would you approach this?

We have given a thought to creating a web services in .NET that talks to SalesForce and retrieves the information required. This web service would then be consumed by any other platform such as Appian.
