Separate Salesforce license required to read data into Appian?

I'm working on an interface that will need to read some data from our company's instance of Salesforce. Given that most users who will use this interface don't have Salesforce accounts, do I have any options besides creating a Salesforce account that's dedicated solely to our Appian instance?

Most of the time, integration is done by service account and we need at least valid credential to interact with 2 different system/
You can use existing service account of salesforce or any other admin user, configure that in Appian third party credential and use to query the data from salesforce or vice versa.

We'll make a service account, then. Thanks.
