JWT/JWE Support - 16.2/3

Has anyone successfully used JWT/JWE (JSON Web Token/JSON Web Exchange) to integrate with another system? We are currently on Appian 16.2 using SAML SSO as our main authentication mechanism. There doesn't seem to be any Shared Components that mention this but it seems like a custom one could be written. Any advice would greatly help! Thanks!
