Hello,
Being a rookie using Appian, I am always seeking more knowledge.
I have taken some training but it is not enough as you all can imagine. I have some flows from another system that we will be converting over to Appian. The Process Modeler is the next thing I need to dive in...Is there some good training or examples of how to configure and when to use Standard Nodes, Smart Services and the different options that are available in the Process Modeler?Any advice is appreciated...

Have you tried the Tutorials in the Documentation tab? There is one where you build an interface, then a process model that uses it.

From there, you can look at the following process model recipes for more to play around with.

Thanks Jackie.I am doing still some of the online tutorials however I was looking for more in-depth on configuration and use of the different existing services of Process Modeler. I appreciate your help.
If you have access to Appian Academy, there are three process modeling courses that are helpful. Another way to learn how this works is to look at existing models. To do this, you can look at the free apps on the app market that are listed as Accelerator or Utility (non-plugin) apps. You can import these apps into your environment and, if they have a process model component, see how they are configured.
Personally, my favorite way to learn about the different process model nodes is to start with one of the tutorials and keep adding to it (either on local or dev site). Then, you can see how adding a node impacts the flow. Definitely utilize the process history tab to see how variables change over time based on the type of actions occurring in those nodes.
Thanks Jackie
There's also a good article in the docs that lists all of the smart services, gives them a description, and then lets you drill down into them to see more about their parameters and how to configure them: https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/19.4/Smart_Services.html. It might be a good reference as you experiment.
Thanks Kara!
