Hello Appian.
From Admin console I have connected a new data source (MariaDB type),
to use it instead of the Appian cloud database.
But, the performance(speed) is too slow.
Do I have to adjust some kind of settings?
How do I boost up the performance(speed), using the new data source that I have added?

Which speed has become slower? I assume DB queries. Can you give us numbers of before and after the change?
A client has Appian running in Europe and a database in US. This means that each DB query needs to cross the Atlantic multiple times. This adds about 400ms to each query. If the application is doing multiple queries in interfaces, this adds up.
Please elaborate your situation.
Dear Stefan, thank you for your reply.
1. We are using Appian in Korea and also the database is located in Korea.
2. For numbers: 17,034ms for our database, and 181ms using Appian cloud database
(we have used the same db queries)
How can we speed up using our database?
Thank you.
You need to find the root cause of this. It could be that the "slower" DB is badly optimized and the query just takes that long. A DBA should be able to help here. The other option is "in-between", meaning the connection is slow. This is more difficult and you might need support from IT to investigate.
