Good day,
We are in the process of setting up an Appian server. We managed to obtain a temporary license to try to complete the configuration process and ran into a problem with the administration password file.
As we edit the passwords.properties.rate file for our system, we try to change the values as indicated in our documentation.
Yet when we try to login, we get an invalid user name or password error. It does not seem to record our changes.
The only user that appears in the users file is the administrator.
Any indication why it is behaving like this?

Which version are you installing? For a few versions now, there's a default admin username and password. See https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/21.1/Linux_Installation_Guide.html#sign-in-to-appian, for example.
