I am currently building my application.
However, There is just a certain bit of functionality in my process model that's too data manipulation heavy, and I would like to run it on am external web server.
I can write code that can handle this for me in Python, and I can set up an api for it on a web server.
Now all I need is for Appian to call that API every time I need to run that ETL functionality in my process model. is there a way for Appian to call an external web API from a process model?

Process models can call integration objects. An integration object can query data from an external system. The documentation reads:
'Regardless of whether it queries or modifies data, an integration can be called in a process model using the Call Integration Smart Service.'
