Hi Everyone,
I have created an interface which have grid rows. The fileds are populated from two tables, so I have created a view for that. What I need to implement that if a record is entered into one table, the corresponding fields from other table needs to be updated. Can anyone please suggest any solution for this?
Thank You

I am not 100% sure if I understand your issue correctly.you have already your view and you can display this view via datastore-cdt-queryRule-interface-table logic. So if you update one table (as part of the DB SQL view) , your view CDT content is automatically updated as well.Thats the main idea of DB views. Can you elaborate your question?
Yes, that is correct. So the main concept is the view includes two DB tables. And my query is if one DB table is updated then the related second tables should be updated to some default values.
This will have to occur where your record is entered into table 1, or via a trigger on the DB table (although preference is always to achieve within Appian when possible). How is your record entered?
I still struggling to get your issue. are you talking about view= sail form or a real DB view? If its the second one, you can just store your random values you like to have for the second table and they are merged in your view automatically
Hi Richard, the view is a DB view and this is used to diaplay values inside a grid in interface.
so the moment you store a value in table one, why not storing the suitable values in table two at the same time? So you have a working view.
