Hi, I am trying to understand the relationship between CDTs, data stores, and data sync and how they all work together. If I have a CDT with data sync enabled, do I still need a data store object? What is the role of the data store object when data sync is enabled for a CDT vs when data sync is not enabled?
It sounds like having data sync enabled on a CDT is the most efficient way to go when possible, is that accurate?
Thank you

Data sync is available on records not on CDT/Datastore. Datastore is used to map the Appian CDT's with the DB tables. We are using the data-sync option in records to get the latest data from the source systems.
I will advice you to go through this article here to understand records and CDT and changes happening around them- appianspace.com/.../
Thank you for the clarification! To be clear then, I need a datastore in order to write to the database while the record type with data sync just creates that cache of data to be used for retrieval and display purposes. Is that correct?
