Is there a way to apply font to appian?

Certified Associate Developer

Hello Appian,

Is there a way to apply font to appian?
Can it be applied partially rather than the entire site?

Thanki you.

  • As Mike and Harshit have mentioned, it is possible to add custom fonts to Appian.

You'd do this via the admin console.

The admin console will ask you for URLs to provide to the fonts, from where you have a couple of options.

Option 1 - Host within Appian

For this option, you'd download the font from the site you're sourcing it from (such as fonts.google.com), then upload the font file as an Appian document and point to that. This is possible, but may be trickier than option 3.

Option 2 - Host it yourself, elsewhere

As option 1, but you'd instead host the font on a file repository of your choice, and point Appian towards that on the admin console.

    Option 3 - Use a pre-existing online link

This option changes per site, and for something like fonts.google.com, it'll change when they do a UX update. At the current time of writing, you'd:

    1. Select the weights you need (corresponding to what Appian asks for) on the Specimen tab
    2. Click the shopping bag icon
    3. Copy the link to the generated style spreadsheet
    4. Follow the link, and within it will be the source URLs you need to paste into Appian
