I am facing an issue with News Feed, My requirement is whenever I am posting a comment I should not receive any email, I tried disabling the Email notifications for News but it's not working.
My scenario is, I have 2 users (Initiator and Approver), when initiator submits a case to the approver there will be post added to New feed
Now Approver gets a task to approve the Case, at this point whoever(Initiator or Approver) comments the post, that user is not receiving any email
But after the Approver Approves or Rejects the Case(the case will go back to Initiator if rejected), then in both scenarios Initiator is receiving an email if Initiator is posting comment in News feed Entry and Approver is not getting the email if anything is commented to the post.
Please help me resolve this, I should not receive email notification for Initiator in any case.

The OOTB news feed is not very flexible and rarely used. Is there a specific reason for you to make use of it?
We are migrating the application from on-premise, as part of that we are checking every test case.
Did you try having the users disable notifications in their notification settings?
Yes, I have tried that also, I turned off both Task and News Email Notification toggle, It's not working either.
