Hello All,
I am currently working through the developer training for Appian and am experiencing an issue trying to add record events to a record type. It worked fine last week for the Vehicle record type, however when I logged back in this week to continue my training, i'm receiving the below error:
I felt like that was odd, so I checked security on the application and I'm in as an admin, so the error isn't making sense to me:
I had added record events to the vehicle record type last week, and it had worked fine. I just went back to check and it is now showing the same error as well:
Finally, checked to see if somehow there were missing precedents and nothing shows:
Is there anywhere else I should be looking to resolve this issue, or did something change with the data source over the weekend? I'd like to move on with the training, but need to complete the exercise first!

Please refer to this thread. It has similar content. Let know if not able to resolve

Thanks, I tried everything in that thread already and still having the same issue.
Is the record inside your application? Also can you check the security of the record too.
Here’s the security for the record, as shown before my account is in the Administrators group:
When I go to security summary, I see this warning? Could there possibly be an issue with the data source? It’s provided in the exercise (I didn’t create it), so don’t have any admin/editor writes to it. Could this be the issue? I would assume everyone doing the course would have the issue if so.
Hi CRawlings !
You mention that this started over the weekend. When you go to the Data Model page and on the right side, click on the gear to Change Source - does it say the source is no longer available?
Hello Greg Wheeler !
No, the data source appears to be fine. Funny enough, when I was clicking through to get screenshots for my reply to you, I checked the events and I'm no longer receiving the error message and was able to generate the record events.
So, thank you all for your replies, my issue appears to have self resolved without any changes!
Gotta love it - we continue to do work on the backend to improve the overall performance and experience. Hopefully we will see less of these oddities!
Have you found a solution to the aforementioned issue?
Same issue, but I haven't add it once. When the first time I click the Events, it shows I don't have access, I have add the Missing Precedents, it doesn't work.
