Hello everyone!
I recently joined an IT company as an intern developer, and I've been assigned to the Low Code department, which works with Appian. I've been advised to study Appian before getting involved in projects, so I signed up for the Appian Developer Learning Path and have been working through some courses.
However, the reason I'm writing this is to ask for advice on what else I should focus on besides the courses in the Appian Developer Learning Path. I know these types of questions are quite common, but with so much information available, I sometimes feel a bit lost. I really want to learn and be as useful as possible in this role, so any guidance from experienced developers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot, friends!

Good call to start with the Developer Learning path. Along with the courses try doing hands on as much as possible - the courses are designed to help you build an application on your own. So pause the courses and implement the learnings in between to have good handson experience.
If you face any errors or issues, try searching for the same in Community Discussion board. If you dont find any similar posts feel free to post the issues here and you will get guidance.
Lastly, Go through Documentations (Community or within Appian Designer's expression panes) to get more understanding of functions, components to fully grasp the capabilities offered as you go along.
All the best!
Hello gimenezcorbalan
As Harsha mentioned doing Hands-on with all the concepts that you see or read will help you understand better and also this will help you try out different things. Appian is really fun when you start learning it. Also always the Documentation and community discussions will come handy when you have a blocker or a doubt. If you couldn't find an answer to your question in any of those you can simply write a post.
Thanks Harsha Sharma and Konduru Chaitanya for your answers.
I'll do what you said!Thank you very much!
I would add here focus on design patterns and SAIL Recipes. It would be of great value.
Spend 1 hour every day in the Appian documentation, to learn what and how to find what you need.
And ... follow by blog: https://appian.rocks ;-)
I have this question too, if I complete the academy, will this be enough to pass the exam? I don’t have a job as a developer yet.
I have an undergraduate cert in programming and I’ve completed a 6 month bootcamp (so database design is familiar to me).
I’m trying to get a role as an Appian developer within my current company. I have 15years+ experience in the financial services industry so I also have knowledge of other systems used alongside Appian and an understanding of the data at a high level.
thanks so much and I’m sorry to hijack the post, I couldn’t create a new one on my phone.
The academy learning paths are specifically made to support the certification.
