This issue is likely due to differences in the site configuration between DEV and UAT. Please check the following:

Check the security settings of the site object in the DEV environment where the site is visible. Make sure your user is added in appropriate security group —this might be missing in UAT.

Also, verify whether the site object was deployed correctly to the UAT environment. It’s possible that the site wasn’t included in the deployment package or was deployed with different configurations.

(1) "Check the security settings of the site object in the DEV environment" :- I did check the security settings in DEV.
I have access to that site in DEV. There are 2 groups which will have viewer permission access to that site.
I am in those groups.

In Uat on the other hand, I am able to see those 2 groups, but not the site object (which was visible to me in DEV).
I asked another DEV to add me in those 2 groups in UAT, they added, but still that site object is not visible, neither is the site visible in the dropdown.

(2) Also, verify whether the site object was deployed correctly to the UAT environment :- 
It is deployed correctly to the UAT environment because other developers and qa members are able to see and access it.

If that’s the case, please double-check that the groups you’re adding your user to in UAT are indeed the groups assigned to the user account you’re currently logged in with. Sometimes users have multiple accounts or similar usernames.

Also, try logging out and logging back in, as caching issues can sometimes cause site visibility delays.

So I noticed some weird behavior. I got added to the 2 groups in UAT by another dev in the morning.
I still do not see my name in those 2 groups in UAT. But i am now able to see the site in dropdown.
I have logged out and in before also, but did not see it in the dropdown.
But almost 2-3 hours later I am able to see the site in the dropdown. Can a caching issue be that long. And also why am i not able to see my name in the groups.

As for the group visibility issue, If you're still not seeing your name in the group, it might be managed externally (like via LDAP), which can cause delays. You can also verify membership using this expression: a!isUserMemberOfGroup()
