Coming from K2/Nintex BPM where the expression editor was a beauty (nothing to memorize, functions based on category, drag and drop a function, etc) I find this Appian expression editor a huge pain.
Maybe I'm wrong and I missed something? How can I absorb things faster without to memorize things?
Are there any plans to re-write this expression editor?
Thank you.

You don't need to memorise functions as such. just start typing fun anywhere in an expression editor or click on the fx icon on top of expression editors (as shown below) and you will get a list of all the available functions segregated into respective categories. So shortcut exists, you will get familiar with them as you work along.
Yeah, switching to other environments can be a challenge. When I started with Appian 15 years ago, I made it a habit to investigate a new function every single day. And I am still doing this today, maybe not every day, but 2-3 times a week. Just to make sure to know the documentation.
Below the documentation on the editor: https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/25.2/expression-editor.html
