Can’t Generate Event Record Types – Permission Error

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to configure Record Events for my record type (W2246AMA Vehicle) and I’m getting this warning:

"You must have edit access to at least one of the applications this record type is in to generate event record types."

Because of this, the Generate Event Record Types button is grayed out and I can’t move forward.

Has anyone run into this before? Do I need edit rights on the whole application that contains the record type, or just the record itself? What’s the best way to resolve this?
